Get to know Scott & Kassy

Scott is a Yonsei (pronounced Yo-oon-say-ee) or 4th generation Japanese American who grew up in Los Angeles. His love for peoples and cultures was borne out of his L.A. roots among a diversity of peoples in his hometown. Currently, he is a Senior Director of Analytics at CVS Health and is involved in solving U.S. health care’s greatest challenges. Scott spent a summer in Juarez, Mexico and a year in Japan to learn how to share the great news of Christ in Spanish and Japanese. He enjoys engaging peoples of many cultures through the teaching of the Word of God and through one-on-one relationships.

Scott and Kassy met swing dancing, were married in 2009, and now live in Southwest Minneapolis. Together, they felt called to help plant New City of Nations because of their love for peoples of all cultures, an ongoing partnership with the church plant families, a strong desire for an intimate, tight-knit community!

Kassy is a 5th generation Swedish/German American, raised in a small farming community outside of the Twin Cities. She currently works as a real estate agent and has fun doing house flips as well!  Her passion lies in filling in gaps and helping with needs in the community.  She also likes her dogs and naps. :)  Kassy loves NCNC and loves trusting that God loves NCNC the most and is working for our good!
